Co Create Exeter

We operate from four main sites across Devon, employing more than 150 people in our team. Across our brands, we handle over 312,000 tonnes of material each year of which over 90% will be recycled or recovered.
From our skip hire services, wheelie bin hire and direct tipping sites, our efforts to protect the environment comes first. Each year we grow, but we stay true to our roots, looking after the businesses that make Devon the place it is. Connecting with the local communities and educating with our sustainability knowledge is a key practice at Coastal and one we strive to achieve year after year.
Ensuring your project (no matter how big or small) goes smoothly is a top priority for us, which means our customer service will go above and beyond. We work as an extension of your team creating a bespoke waste management and recycling service for complete efficiency and maintaining the highest possible BSI and ISO operating standards.
We all know that business is far more than making money. We want to deliver the maximum social impact, taking action that makes a real difference to people’s lives. We want to make positive and lasting changes, both for our environment and for the people around us – our staff, customers and the Devon community.
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. Did you know Coastal Recycling are the South West’s largest independent waste and resource management specialist? Because of this, we have a huge responsibility to be climate conscious in every aspect of our company.
Our standards are high, much like our ambitions, to reduce the carbon footprint across all our operations and recycle as much as we can for you.
All our sites, including our direct tipping site in Torrington, are managed efficiently to secure the longevity of our finite resources and protect and preservethe surrounding ecosystem. We are committed to maintaining the highest possible standards of quality andenvironmental compliance.
The people around us are important as we believe we’re all in this together to fight climate change. We are committed to serving our Devon community as a company, employer and a good neighbour. As ambassadors of the resources and waste management sector, we’ll continue to collaborate, listen, challenge and lead where necessary to help shape a competitive, fair, ethical and sustainable industry.
Our mission is to take sustainability a step further, so we started educating our community in ways we can all create a sustainable future through recycling and waste management. Talking in schools, local communities and other businesses to educate on the importance of environmental responsibility. The talks cover why recycling is important, the process of recycling and how it works and what people can be doing to help our planet and protect the world’s precious resources.
The way we work together is a priority as an employee-owned business. We’re big on equal opportunities, training and providing a working environment in which all individuals are able to make best use of their skills, free from discrimination. Those before us at Coastal Recycling have allowed us to develop and invest in our workforce to cultivate a culture where our people are proud and happy to work.
At all of our sites, we consider each other family and treat each other to staff events, treats and bonuses across the year. Team members benefit from free support in areas of finance, health, legal and emotional wellbeing.
Training, rigorous safety monitoring and meeting ISO 45001 standards ensure best practices on our sites for the protection of our workforce, customers and the public.
