Coastal Organics has a contract with Devon County Council to compost most of Devon’s garden waste at several sites around the county. This post is based at their site in Exeter, but the post may also require working across various sites.
Our operation consists of receiving garden waste, shredding, screening and turning the material to produce a finished PAS100 compost product.
The applicant should have good telehandler experience with an understanding of routine checks/maintenance. Training will be given on all site operations and on the composting process.
The Basic Terms of Employment:

- Hours 40 hours per week (overtime required during busy periods / cover)

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Day to day control of the site working area to ensure safe working

- Operate telehandler, shredder/screener and other plant to produce good quality compost

- Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the plant

- Completion of all related paperwork for plant records and timesheets
