On 24th June 2022, Coastal Recycling took part in Employee Ownership (EO) Day which had the theme of #GrowEO, to celebrate and showcase how employee ownership has helped to grow its business, our employee owners and the economy. Not only was it the UK annual day that celebrates all the employee-owned businesses in the UK but it’s a year since Coastal transferred 100% of its shares to the staff via an Employee Ownership Trust.
UK employee-owned companies operate in a range of sectors and contribute to over £30 billion of the UK economy annually. Alongside this, EO encourages greater productivity, creativity and job security across the organisation. We are proud to be one of around 1,030 businesses in the UK to become employee-owned.
