Sustainability Winner of Devon
Coastal Recycling were thrilled to be crowned Sustainability Champion at the Devon Business Awards, organised by the Devon Chamber of Commerce, on 22nd May 2026.
The award, presented by Paul Montgomery, from Sir Fix a Lock, the category sponsor, was a proud moment. As one of Devon’s largest independent recycling and resource management businesses, and one of the few that is 100% employee owned, sustainability is not simply an operational priority. It is the foundation of our culture, strategy, and responsibility to the communities we serve.
The judges from the Devon Business Awards said: “The Winner is making outstanding strides in improving sustainability on all measures, working especially hard to reduce diesel generator emissions by embracing solar power and using AI to plan HGV routes in order to reduce mileage and fuel consumption”
Emily Delve, Group Commercial Director said: “It’s truly wonderful to be recognised for the work we’re doing, driving sustainability through strong customer partnerships to maximise recycling, investments to reduce carbon impact and supporting communities with recycled resources.
As an employee-owned business, this recognition feels especially meaningful, it reflects the commitment and passion of everyone in the team.
In a time where there are plenty of challenges for businesses, it felt genuinely special to spend an evening focused purely on celebrating success across our fantastic county”.
